HPT : Brown discharge often contains older, deoxygenated blood ; may be seen after the period. When pregnant vaginal discharge is thin, white ; milky. But because this is not a diagnostic symptom, a pregnancy test should be taken if you miss your period.

Possibly: A small amount of brown spotting could occur due to implantation. Take a pregnancy test once period is missed to know for sure - or can take an early pregnancy test 3 to 4 days prior to that.
