Probably not serious: It is not unusual to be irregular and periods to sometimes come earlier, but much more common later than expected. If you have always been regular, it is unusual, but probably will regulate within a month or two. However, if the bleeding is of a different character than usual period, or excessive blood is being lost, see the gynecologist, who will find the cause.
