See below: Then maybe it's not an addiction or maybe you and the family are in denial. Addiction is defined by negative consequences, and continued use despite this. However with an addiction and relationships usually all people are affected and are "ill" in someway.However because all families have there dynamics, and this is what is normal for them, they may not be aware that the addiction is harming them.
