Compare Measurements: Various measurements of the pregnancy are made and are compared to tables of established average normal values to estimate fetal age. Best done in the first trimester when individual differences between fetuses are much less significant. Later in the pregnancy the measurements are much less accurate for age and measure fetal weight.
