Generally no: Unless u have a predisposing cause such as a fistula or CSF leak on e treated u are done.

Yes & no: Since there are dozens of germs that can cause it & many are bacteria (like a strep throat),a prior case does not prevent it from ever happening again. You can not pass it to others if you have been treated/cured, but might in the pre-treatment period. The frequency of getting it again is small, sort of like lightening striking you again. Rare immune or structural defects could make it possible.
