A member asked:

Do white blood cell counts always go up with cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: In some types of malignancies, white blood cell counts may increase (especially in blood malignancies like leukemia). Many solid tumors (like colon cancer as one example) will not necessarily be associated with changes in white blood cell counts. Depends upon the type of cancer. Hope that this helps.
