Yes: Beta-blocker and Calcium Channel Blocker medications have been known to lower the heart rate, but before these are indiscriminately used, the underlying cause of your tachycardia needs to be determined. Often your body is increasing your heart rate to compensate for, or as a response to, another underlying condition. Consultation with a cardiologist can help determine the cause & safety of meds.
