Addiction treatment: Addiction is a behavior, conscious or subconscious, that one undertakes to overcome overwhelming anxiety, sadness, or anger. Whether it's drugs, food, sex, work, gambling etc makes little difference. The formula remains the same. Detox, and abstain. After detox, Abstinence requires significant help, which includes: intense individ therapy 2-4 times/wk, support groups, family therap, find purpose.
