A member asked:

For the past 3 months i've been spotting.my period is so light it's pink i don't even have to wear a tampon it's like it's not even there why is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several things: 1. Never rule out a pregnancy and should be evaluated 2. If you are on hormonal birth control, this can thin the lining out so much that your periods can be this light 3. Could be other hormonal disorders including thyroid, prolactin, and androgen excess disorders including polycystic ovarian syndrome.
