I'm 19 and i was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. is this something i should be concerned about?

Well, lets say: No, i would recommned the birth control. The relationship to this and weight control and Insulin resisitance is another issue. Pcos does not cause type 2 diabetes but for many it is a sign they may be prone to this problem. There is no use in worrying about pcos, monitor your sugar intake and live a healthy lifestyle, good luck.
