Myelopathy: Myelopathy refers to abnormal irritation or injury to the spinal cord, whereas radiculopathy refers to irritation to a nerve root extending from the cord. It can manifest differently depending on the level. Symptoms can include weakness, balance problems, sensory loss, difficulty with fine motor skills, or bowel/bladder problems. Examination will show brisk and sometimes abnormal reflexes.
