Hyperpigmentation: Unfortunately, after an injury to the skin - such as a blister from herpes or from a scratch/scrap, the skin can darken. It may take some time before that darkening fades. I would protect the area so that no re-injury occurs, worsening the problem. Also, protect the area from sunlight -as that could cause skin coloration changes. Most probably 'tincture of time' is what's best. See plastic surgeon
