A member asked:

Sea kelp and t4, is this okay?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kelp: Regrettably Yes and No! As far as I can gather no immediate harm would happen to your thyroid in the short term - provided of course that your thyroid is working properly. If you a taking any form of a thyroid med - for either under-active or over-active thyroid activity I would recommend you stay away from synthroid (thyroxine). It is worth spending some time at the library or on the web to get more info.
