Fever medicine ...: and plenty of fluids. Your child most likely has a viral infection although some other infections such as UTI, ear infections, and pneumonia that should be considered. There may be other things to think about if your child is not vaccinated. Call your doctor for an exam if the fever persists or if you have any specific concerns. Watch for dehydration by checking for wet diapers every 3-4 hours.
