A member asked:

Low-level ionizing radiation from noninvasive cardiac imaging: can we extrapolate estimated risks from epidemiologic data to the clinical setting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

extrapolation: Your question remains a subject of controversy today. We assume that total exposure to ionizing radiation is a correlate of risk of complications from all kinds of testing exposures. This is why we try and limit radiation testing procedures to use when the data is really needed in decision making.
