A member asked:

How are other organs systems affected by cataracts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally none: A few cataracts are part of rare genetics associations and some are part of certain systemic diseaes either co associated or caused by the treatment of these diseases (such as the use of systemic steroids). But most are age related, and independent of other bodily systems and so other organs will be unaffected by either the presence of the cataracts or its treatment.
