Are very heavy and painful periods normal after a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and d&c?

Depends on why: Depends a bit on why you had the hysteroscopy and d;c to start with. Many times, these procedures are done because of heavy menstruation, or menorrhagia. Causes include hormonal imbalance, uterine fibroids, uterine polyps, adenomyosis or rarely cancer. If this was not present, then these symptoms may be temporarily related to the procedure. If symptoms persist, see your gynecologist.
