A member asked:

Would it be okay to put terconazole vaginal cream on a baby for diaper rash?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No data to advise...: Currently, there is no data on pediatric use; therefore, this cream can not be specifically recommended for infants. Hypersensitivity reactions can occur and toxic epidermal necrolysis has been reported with the use of this medication. The obvious concern is how much of the drug is absorbed through the thinner skin of babies, and would the adverse effects be worse due to baby's smaller body size.
