Approaching: depression wi multiple modalities is best. There are many
things you can do for depression.  Don't isolate. Spend time w people. Use your support system. Get out. Don’t stagnate at home. Work to get 8 hours or &gt; of sleep per night &amp; eat healthfully. Daily aerobic physical activity is a big +.  Recommend the “Feeling Good Book" by Dr. David Burns. Don't just read it - DO IT!

what are the effects of overdosing on diabetes medication?

Depends on which med: The effects of an overdose depend on which medication and how much. Insulins, glimeperide, glyburide, Glipizide and those containing these medications can lower sugar below usual, most likely for a short periods of time. 

An overdose of others such as metformin, actos/avandia, januvia/tradjenta/onglyza are less likely to cause this problem.

what are the effects of smoking weed while on medications?

Variable: Weed itself varies. What you got before may be different from now. Also, individuals have varying sensitivities.  But there may be  a synergistic effect of intoxication: they get too strong. But there is also the metabolism: weed has some metabolic pathways that may be the same as your meds, thereby making weed and your meds either weaker or stronger. Unpredictable, and therefore unwise.

It depends: It depends on the medication, and whether marijuana is legal in your geographic location.  Marijuana risks include paranoia and psychosis, just by itself (not including other drugs you're taking).  Best to avoid marijuana unless it has been prescribed for you, in limited circumstances and through certified dispensaries.

sore kidneys and i'm on lots of medication. what could it be?

"sore kidneys": Not sure what you mean by "sore kidneys".  If you mean having low back pain, it is more likely that the pain is not caused by the kidneys.  Most patients with acute or chronic kidney diseases do not have localized pain in the low back or pelvic area.  I recommend an evaluation by a physician that includes a full physical examination.

what are common medications on a paediatric unit?

Antibx and resp: While flippant, generally most kids who are admitted to the hospital are suffering an infection of some kind or having respiratory issues. So antibiotics are huge. Respiratory meds include albuterol and steroids mainly. Pain medications of course. Otherwise it's specialty dependent, and can vary greatly.
