Watch and see: If you want odds, see your bookie.  Otherwise, wait to see if your symptoms return.  Was this just a test to see if you can get away with 2 less days than the doctor recommended?  There is usually a good reason for the recommendations that are made.  If symptoms return, retest and retreat.

Depends: The usual dose is 2 tabs the first day then one daily for 4 more days. However the dose and duration may be modified depending on what one is trying to treat.

No: One extra dose is not going to cause anything except a little upset stomach at most, and more likely no adverse reaction whatsoever. Don't fret. Glad you both are concerned enough to make sure he got his dose of antibiotic.

Possible: Usually, Azithromycin cures up to 95% of chlamydia.  But there has been some resistance noted, so best it see your provider if you  are still having symptoms.

Not reliable: It might work sometimes, but not reliable. Other antibiotics for 1-2 weeks normally are needed.

Not effective: The only treatment for syphilis is Penicillin. There is literally no other treatment for syphilis. Even people who are allergic to penicillin have to be hospitalized for desensitization to penicillin and then given penicillin if they have syphilis. Azithromycin will not treat it at all.

Yes: Take 4 tablets of 500 mg, for a total of 2,000 mg.

It should be ok: Azithromycin's absorption is not altered by food.

was tested with go in sept. prescribed 2x cefixime 200mg & 2x zithromax 500mg. in dec, still tested +tive. can i still take them at an increased dose?

Go to ID doctor: Persistent infection after treatment may be due to reinfection  or resistance/treatment failure. Make sure parter(s) are treated. If the cultures for gonococcus are positive, isolates should be submitted for resistance testing. Advise IM ceftriaxone plus high dose oral Azithromycin. Gemifloxacin or IM gentamicin if resistance to cephalosporins is suspected. Retest 14 days after retreatment.
