It would look unnatural and strange if one's genitalia were the exact same color as, or lighter than, the rest of the body. Perhaps...: Some yogurt has live cultures in it.  These are bacteria that can help maintain vaginal health and aid in the prevention of yeast infections and Bacterial Vaginosis.  Eating it may be a good idea for you.   I personally don't recommend douching with yogurt.   Best wishes!

Never: there is no scientific reason for you to have any yogurt inside of your vagina. particularly if the yogurt has sugar in it, it may put you at risk of infection. please see a doctor about any concerns that you may be having about your vaginal health

No: Eating yogurt can help increase your lactobaccilli, which is the good bacteria that comprises the majority of bacteria in your vagina. But as far as the muscles of the vagina, yogurt has no effect on them. Generally yogurt is healthy, though no studies have shown that it's necessary for vagina. It can't hurt, though, and especially these new greek yogurts are great for your health.

Please dont do that: Inserting yogurt or any other food into the vagina is not an effective treatment for a vaginal infection such as yeast or bacterial vaginosis. There are several medications available to treat this very common problem. Metronidazole is the most common.

Possibly: Generally, BV is treated with an antibiotic which works well, but can interfere with the normal lactobacillus bacteria in the vagina.  A live yogurt culture contains lactobacillus which can restore the normal balance of bacteria.  Using commercially available yogurt which is pasteurized to kill the bacteria and which is often sweetened will not be effective and may cause yeast.

Ittttchy: The symptoms you describe sound like a yeast infection. Uncomfortable!!!! The home remedy that works the best is plain yogurt, but there are medicines at the pharmacy like miconazole that work so, so much better and faster for a yeast infection. Good luck!
