Yellow stools: It sounds like you may have a stomach "bug" which was affected the stools in terms of color and amount as well as consistency. 
I suggest you try eating a bland diet and taking a probiotic daily until improvement or two weeks. If you are not feeling better or if you get worse, follow up with a physician for a work up.

Infection?: It's possible you have an intestinal infection like a foodborn illness (something you ate??) or a virus you caught from someone/something else. You may want to see your doctor if it continues through the weekend and bring a stool sample with you to be tested for other bacteria as well like C. diff, shigella, or salmonella so that you can be properly treated. Make sure you're drinking enough water

Normal: It is normal. Especially if you are breastfeeding and may have recently changed the baby's diet to include some formula or other foods. A change in your diet if breastfeeding as well can lead to the color change. It doesn't mean anything and is nothing to worry about.

if with this  he is gassy he is not ready for the milk you are taking because it seems he did not tolerate milk

Exercise is likely to help your backache, start exercising. Begin with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity so that you sweat profusely. It may take a few months for the full effect.

If stool pattern has changed, is unusual for you, & the change persists, or is accompanied by other symptoms, see your doctor.
