i have a roughly 3cm patch of discolored skin on my chest; it's a yellow/grayish hue. doesn't hurt or bother me at all. don't know where it came from.

Skin Lesions: Almost all would be benign conditions but as with any skin lesion we need to look at them, feel them, ask you a bunch of questions, perform an exam to see if we find anything else, use magnifying glass to look at the lesion, maybe take a scraping to look at under microscope or perhaps even a biopsy of the lesion.  Can post picture which may help, but bottom line need to be seen for doctor to help.

Yellow patch skin: I would ask someone who sees patients in South Africa as the causes may be a lot different than in US. You may be able to consult with a Dr on our site who trained in SA.

bug bites multiple in a patch, 2x, 2 patches in nov.last: end of nov.still severe itch.skin hard, raised, bumpy now yellow 2x3". antibio/ster cream -ve. 2 days acrivastine:itch down abit. rash still bad?

See doctor: Make sure that there is no residual insect particles in the lesion and i wonder if your lesions have been infected.   You need to see a doctor about this.

hi, this is probably me being over concerned but recently i've noticed 2 or 3 yellow patches of skin on my legs and its making me nervous. liver failure but i don't drink excessively. pancreatic cancer? should i be worried?

See your doc: It's tough to diagnose skin problems with words... it's best to see them in person.  Is there a chance that these are areas where you could have bruises?  Bruises can appear yellow.  Hope this helps!

Yellow skin: This is most likely jaundice due to liver toxicity (hepatitis or cirrhosis) due to increase bilirubin in the blood since the damaged liver cells cannot break it down.
Other causes of jaundice can be liver or pancreatic cancer or hemolytic anemia or gallstones, or in newborn.

I wonder if a doctor can verify this finding. It will hopefully mean nothing but better be safe. 

Is the white color of your eyes white or yellow? Probably white?

sickle cell disease
hemolytic anemia
cirrhosis of the liver
low progesterone
pancreatitis
hepatitis
thyroid disorders
and certain drugs.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, and physical examination, however, if this the only symptom, it is not a cause for concern.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
