It : It would be very unusual for herpes or vaginal yeast infection to spread throughout the body.  Other medical issues, such as MRSA (methicillin resistant staph aureus), eczema, psoriasis, pityriasis, or other dermatological issues can cause a rash on the body.  Trying a mild anti-bacterial soap and mild lotion may be helpful, but if it is a worsening rash, or if the patient had fever or new symptoms, then the patient should be medically evaluated.

If treating candida : There are many things that could cause a skin rash. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, sun exposure, insect bites, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Rash: Yeast infection is common is areas of the body that  is moist like inner thighs, arm pits. See you physician. If it a yeast infection it will require antifungal topical medication and keeping the area dry.

I recommend: seeing a doctor; even to a walk-in clinic. If you've had yeast before and know what it's like you can treat OTC; if you've never had it (and we certainly can't tell online) see a doctor or provider at a walk-in for a diagnosis. Good wishes.

For sure not herpes: No doctor is likely to mix up herpes with the kind of rash caused by jock itch (or its equivalent in women). And herpes outbreaks never last 2 months -- each outbreak always clears up entirely within a couple weeks. There is no chance this is herpes.

Rash goes away.: If the medicine works, the rash will go away, usually within 10 days.  If you have not seen any improvement  after three to five days, get seen by a doctor to be sure you do have a fungal infection.  There are other causes of rashes besides yeast. If you have had unprotected sex, get checked for std's.  Also, avoid scented products and harsh soaps/detergents/fabric softeners. Don't over-scrub.
