Rash: Yeast infection is common is areas of the body that  is moist like inner thighs, arm pits. See you physician. If it a yeast infection it will require antifungal topical medication and keeping the area dry.

i have a yeast infection on my buttocks. i have used clotrimazole 1% cream but the rash is worse. is there an alternative cream or oral medication?

Yeast infections: A "yeast infection" refractory to treatment with "clotrimazole 1%" may not be yeast at all, so see your gyn provider for a culture to be sure it's yeast...if it is, a variant can be prescribed for treatment.

pink inflamed patch like rash that spreads from inner thighs to outer thighs to buttocks & starting down legs. foreskin is inflamed but no rash. some groin pain. itchy. no blisters, no smell, no unusual discharge. penis looks fine. yeast infection?

Probably tinea: Tinea is a type of fungus that commonly causes the rash like you describe, and is less likely to cause an odor than Candida, which causes most vaginal yeast infections. Try applying a small amount of over-the-counter terbinafine cream daily. You cannot "kill" the fungus, the cream "paralyzes" it, and with regular daily use, your body will shed the fungus off your skin.

can i get yeast infection on buttock? largish skin eruption, purplish, feels rough, possible blisters (can't see well)...sore to touch or w pressure.

Skin Lesion: Don't worry get it checked out.  It needs to be looked at either by your primary physician or a dermatologist.  It could be a patch of dry skin to a skin cancer.  Put your fears to rest by checking to see what it is.  It could even be shingles.

i have a yeast infection that i got from taking amoxicillin. i also think the yeast is on my buttocks as well. what can i use to treat buttocks area?

Treating yeast: The same cream used for your vaginal infection will also work in the ana or buttocks area. If you're using OTC treatment, try any cream with active ingredient ending in "azole" (miconazole, clotrimazole, etc). Good luck.

like a month ago i got a yeast infection and i noticed bumps on my buttocks developing.could the bumps be caused by the yeast infection?

Yes: Yeast infection is usually from excessive moisture and can present with satellite lesions that look like pustules (white heads).  You may also have folliculitis which can be bacterial (common with friction, moisture, sitting too long, shaving, etc).  If your doctor gave you diflucan, (fluconazole) i would add and otc benzoyl peroxide acne wash in the shower - may bleach towels!

Yeast infection: Red bumps on your buttocks can be from yeast but can also be from infected hair follicles or molluscum contagiosum which is another skin infection. A provider should be able to tell with looking. People often have pain with intercourse when they have a vaginal infection.

ive been given fluconazole for yeast infection (vaginal/buttocks area). i take prozac and there can be a significant and possibly deadly interaction which i am concerned about due to having pvcs and sinus tachy. dr says should be fine. suggestions?

: Your doctor is right. The increased risk of cardiac arrhythmia is infrequent and usually not severe. And fluconazole is gone from your system after a couple of days, and it probably would not be harmful to skip fluoxetine (Prozac) for a day or two (but check with your doctor before doing so). If you remain concerned, you could replace fluconazole with one of the many vaginal azole treatments.

i was told i have a yeast infection was given fluconazole to take after taken skin rashes got worse and multipled what does this mean body hurts?

Infection: It is impossible to diagnose this without seeing it, but discoloration alone makes it more probably that this may be a superficial fungal infection rather than yeast. See a doctor and let them examine it.
