how likely is it for a yeast infection get so bad that it could cause some vaginal bleeding?

Yes: If there is enough irritation from the infection, it can cause breakdown of the skin and bleeding.  Also, if you are scratching or rubbing the area because of itching, this too can break down the skin and cause bleeding. Finally, some preservatives in some of the treatment creams might also irritate - if this is case, talk to doc about alternative treatment such as diflucan (fluconazole).

: Vaginal infection can cause bleeding do pregnancy test once a week until you have a normal menstrual cycle,also advising an OB/GYN our family doctor. most women will have a period while they have a yeast infection.

Yes, it could: Vaginal bleeding with intercourse could be from a recent infection with yeast or other organisms. Too, your partner could be bleeding so make sure to check. If symptoms persist, go have it checked out.

Cut: Continue to apply intermittent pressure and this bleeding will stop.  Treat your yeast infection. The risk for some type of blood born yeast infection from the cut is very remote unless you are immunocompromised in some way.

i had sex this past weekend and everything was fine on friday. on saturday i starting bleeding during it. it was almost like dark brown/ black discharge. it comes and goes still.my vagina has been in pain since. feels like i have a yeast infection?

: You'll need to see a doctor in person. Your symptoms give mixed clues, but probably you have more than just a yeast infection. You need evaluation for STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia, and perhaps herpes. Good luck.

Maybe yeast, but...: This could be a relatively severe yeast infection, but there are other posibilities, such as allergy to a vaginal hygiene prodcut or even residual detergent in your underwear. It's important to see a doctor in person about this and not try to figure it out from a distance as in this forum. The treatment for one of these could make things worse if you guess wrong. Vaginal bleeding: I think the bleeding and these medications may be a coincidence.  You could be having your period.

Not from yeast: yeast infection in vagina does not trigger bleeding of any kind
gastroenteritis can cause diarrhea
