No Sex Problems: No, total hip replacement does not normally cause problems with sex life (that is if you didn't have them prior).  Actually, with less pain in the hip it could make it better.

It depends.: It is easier to note what should be avoided than which positions are advisable. If surgery was done through an anterior approach, there are no restrictions, but if there is a problem it would be with  hyper-extension with external rotation .  If surgery was done through a posterior approach, flexion with internal rotation should be avoided.

Leg length change?: Often, after hip replacement, one leg is left shorter than the other.This changes your gait causing all the symptoms you mentioned: chronic low back pain, foot &amp; leg pain.Surgery could also have caused other problem like pubic shear which needs to be realigned.A good osteopathic eval. might pinpoint the problem.Answer could be as simple as a heel lift or osteopathic manipulation.

Hip pain: Yes, you may be able to receive a cortisone shot to help with some of your pain prior to surgery.  Please discuss this with your doctor.

Varies: The whole question did not come through.  If you are having pain running down your leg into your foot after a hip replacement, it would usually either be related to an irritation if a nerve in the back, or that same nerve can also potentially be stretched during your hip replacement.  I would discuss directly with your surgeon.

Fluid in your joint: This indicates that you have a small amount of fluid in your joint.    It does not necessarily indicate a problem.  However, since your surgeon ordered an MRI postoperatively, he is concerned about a complication, such as infection
