No: Home pregnancy tests kits are designed for testing urine only. Use first morning urine and do the test 4-5 days after a missed period.

A blood pregnancy: test may be able to accurately show that you are pregnant before a standard home urine  pregnancy test would.

Possible: This may be accurate. Not every sexual encounter (without contraception/protection) will result in a pregnancy. If you have doubts, repeat the test. Did you miss your period?

: A urine sample of over 8 hours sitting at room temperature may not give a valid reading. A refrigerated sample is good for up to 3 days.

Use first morning urine, and do the test at least 4-5 days after a missed period. If you still have doubt, see you doctor for a more reliable blood test for HCG.

Yes typically: If really concerned just do another one.  You can even pick them up at the dollar stores these days.  And if all else fails, call your physician after labor day and ask for a serum (blood) test.

False negative: You can have a false negative urine pregnancy test, but blood doesn't have the same issue of being false negative.  The best I could suggest is to repeat the blood test again and add any other blood work that can give you pregnancy symptoms.
