Potassium: levels can be bad for arrhythmia of the heart, with low levels liable to cause more rhythm problems and issues with muscle spasms.  At that level K 3.2 it should not be too bad.  Eat more bananas and drink more pineapple juice.

Lying flat can cause reflux which that irritates the heart and causes palpitations. Especially pts with a large hiatal hernia. Simple diagnostic evalluations such as a n upper GI study and a holter.
