husband got staph from hip replacement. (1st surgery) . 2nd surgery left wound open for 3 months. plus picc line. 3rd surgery, closed up wound and has a hole that won't close/discharging/tunneling. now 4th surgery next? loose his leg or die? worry?

Leg length change?: Often, after hip replacement, one leg is left shorter than the other.This changes your gait causing all the symptoms you mentioned: chronic low back pain, foot &amp; leg pain.Surgery could also have caused other problem like pubic shear which needs to be realigned.A good osteopathic eval. might pinpoint the problem.Answer could be as simple as a heel lift or osteopathic manipulation.

Nerves: If your leg is paralyzed after hip replacement, there may be some nerve involvement but it is difficult to say without knowing your history. You should discuss it immediately with your surgeon however.

HIP REPLACEMENT: I am not sure if all the movements are    preserved like flexion, extension, abduction, etc. Probablly, rom is slightly diminised. Please ask the orthopedic surgeon.

Yes it is good not : Do that it may dislocate (get out of place).
