Unusual!: You need a proper evaluation for hair loss- blood work, possibly a biopsy.  Get to a dermatologist or start with your primary.  Make sure that your liver, kidneys, and thyroid are ok- also make sure that you're not anemic!

Postpartum change: This is a really interesting and common problem.  You can hate it but your hair will come back. What happens is that in pregnancy all your hair stalls in a particular hair stage.  It falls out less during pregnancy but then after your hormones decrease, it comes out at once. The follicles that make hair are fine though and it will recover.  It may take some time though so be patient.
