Normal: Normal periods are every 21-35 days. They are not following the lunar calendar. A shift in the day of the month is not weird or unexpected.

Menses: Normal menstrual cycles are anywhere between 21 & 35 days apart. As long as the menses starts at these intervals you are ok.

: Menstrual cycles vary over time, and tend to be of shorter length in one's mid-thirties.  Stress can delay ovulation, which will cause a lengthening of a particular cycle, as menstruation occurs 14 days after ovulation unless pregnancy occurs. "Predictable" , although artificial,  cycles will occur with oral contraceptives.

It is what it is: For some women their normal pattern is irregular. Sometimes an OBGyn would try a BCPill for a while to try to reset your system  to a more predictable pattern. Some women go on the pill just to have a predictable pattern.

Shouldn't change: Intercourse should not change your normal cycle.  If you have initiated intercourse and are now late for a period, you should get a home preg test.  If the test is negative and you still don't get a period you should see your physician.  You may also want to discuss birth control options if you are not wanting to be pregnant.

Unknown: The normal menstrual cycle does have some variance to it normally. However, see a ob-gyn md to be sure that your cycle fits the definition of "normal".

Probably not: Most women have cycles that remain about the same, but the cycles can change over time.  The normal cycle length varies from about 21 to about 36 days - it sounds like you are within that range so you probably do not need to worry.

NSAIDs: Starting ibuprofen or naproxen they day before your period starts can help decrease your cramps as can contraceptives such as pills, patches, and rings. DepoProvera and IUDs like Mirena (levonorgestrel) and Skyla can make your periods lighter or even nonexistent as well as helping with the cramping, hope this helps.

Pregnancy/Normal: The first thing that needs to be ruled out if AT ALL possible is pregnancy. If it is a possibility do a home pregnancy test. This could be a pregnancy or a "chemical pregnancy". The other thing is that at 23 this is a common occurrence. If the flow was normal and this was a one time thing no worries. If your next period is abnormal this needs to be checked.
