Knee hurt give out: Symptoms og knee pain and feeling of knee giving out is most of the times due to ligament injury.The knee is held together by ligamentsand feeling of instabiity and giving out is due to a tear in one of the knee ligament.You should see your doctor or an orthpedic specialist and may need a MRI if indicated after exam to find out if there is torn ligament.

R/O STRESS FRACTURE: Yes: You need to rule out a stress fracture of the tibia. Get  tib/fib x ray /MRI or potentially bone scan. If X-ray is -  a bone scan is indicated. It takes awhile to heal and you may need pain medication and close follow up. If healing is delayed you can have PRP = PLATELET RICH PLASMA TO EXPEDITE HEALING or PROLOTHERAPY.

Since : Since your symptoms have been slowly progressive over several years rather than acute in nature, this probably represents degenerative arthritis, also known as osteoarthritis.  The knees and low back are common sites for degenerative arthritis as we grow older.  Start with a visit to your family doctor.  He/she can perform a history and physical exam and may also wish to obtain x-rays of the areas that are bothering you.  Depending on the severity of the findings, treatment may be as simple as over the counter pain relievers or as complex as total knee replacement.  If you are overweight, weight loss will benefit both your knees and back.

Low : Low back pain can be caused by a variety of ailments.  The most typical is muscular or skeletal back pain.  Arthritis of the back can be a cause, as can muscle strain.  Usually low back pain is helped by anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen (if you don't have reasons that you can't take those medications).  Don't lift over 10 pounds, and try to limit sitting, as that can aggravate your back.  If you have increased pain, pain down your legs, any numbness/weakness or loss of bladder or bowel control, or any other kidney or abdominal symptoms, then you must be medically evaluated.

Can be anything: Could be muscles, nerves or even joints causing your pain.  If stretching, performing core strengthening exercises and nsaids don't help, i would consider speaking with your doctor regarding more thorough evaluation. You may need an ergonomic evaluation to make sure you are sitting appropriately for your spine and job.

Get evaluated: Both gastroenterologists & colorectal surgeons can help you. They will first perform a visual inspection & digital exam after taking your history as to circumstances, duration, quality, timing of symptoms & your risk factors. They may then determine topical treatment or ask to perform further evaluation of the rectal lining. Symptoms may prove functional (proctalgia fugax) & warrant different rx.

Coccydynia: Tailbone pain can occur with or without injury. Only real concern is to exclude a sacral tumor (extremely rare). If bowel/bladder habits normal, probably ok. Treatment included nsaid's, and a sitting pillow. Not a doughnut, but a foam wedge with triangle cutout. This keeps you sitting leaning forward without pressure on the coccyx. If persistent, removal is rarely needed but successful.
