Retractile testes: You either have an over active cremaster muscle or your testicles are not properly attached to the scrotum. If it doesn't hurt and they come back down, you may be fine. Otherwise, see a urologist.

Yes: During physical exertion blood flow is diverted to the exercising muscles and away from the genitalia. The testicles are pulled up as a result.Also During sports,the scrotum contracts to protect the testicles from harm, and  have a protective value in contact sports for this reason.

Ask your physician.: Typically, recovery is about 4-6 weeks. If there are no complications or residual pain after 4 weeks, you can work out, more lightly at first, to see if you have discomfort. As patients with this condition tend to be younger, healthier, and without many co-morbid conditions, there are few long term problems after this repair.

Probably nothing: Typically the testicles hang unequally so it probably is nothing to worry about.  One testicle usually hangs lower than the other in the scrotal sac and this is nothing to worry about unless there has been a sudden change then have your primary care take a look.

left varicocelectomy ~2 yrs ago. recently started workout at home (jump,stretch,pushup,dumbbell etc). i wear two supporters as well. but i feel pain in left testicle area after working out, settles with time. is this something to worry about?

Very likely normal.: Any lump present for that long is benign. The cause differs on whether the lump is on the skin or actually on the testicle.

Sounds normal: This sounds entirely normal. Some people sweat more than others, and this can show up mostly in areas where skin is against skin, e.g. in the genital and anal area, underarms, or under the breasts or other skin folds, especially in overweight persons. Use talcum powder or cornstarch to help keep the area dry and odor free, and wash and dry the area once or twice a day. Then no worries.

Epididymitis?: A single swollen testicle, especially if painful, usually is due to epididymitis -- infection or other inflammation of the sperm collecting tubules. At your age (23), chlamydia and gonorrhea are by far the main causes. Working out, even intensely, shouldn't do this. Rare cases are torsion, a surgical emergency. If painless, probably less serious. No matter what, see a doctor ASAP. Good luck!
