Possible: It's is possible if you are continuing to aggravate it with other exercises that you may be doing. However, discussing with a musculoskeletal physician is still important after two months of pain.

Leg pain: It could be that you are suffering from the condition known as"shin plints"medically known as "comparmental syndrome".In order to verify it the comparment pressures need to be taken.Olso you may suffer from tendinitis, stress fractues or muscle strain.Best thing is rest with icing and streching, if no better see sports train person.

Nerve or Vascular: Question is whether this is chronic or just an incident.  The description of "sharp" pain while laying down may be related to position and the result of a nerve compression.  However, another considering is that this could be vascular related the result of a clot and/or restriction of blood flow.  Talk to your primary care physician either way, but if chronic, consider urgent care/er.

Ans: Yes you most likely injured the soft tissue. This takes time to heal. You may have intermittent discomfort for months and then will go away. Be patient. Once injured takes a while to resolve
