A not uncommon: reflex. Think of the GI tract, starting from the mouth to the exit end. When you start to eat( even in anticipation of eating/smelling food), the entire GI tract starts moving everything downstream by a muscle action called peristalsis. U r not in trouble.

Could be IBS: The symptoms you describe may be consistent with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Especially if you have no other worrisome features such as fever, weight loss, bleeding. You need to consult a physician and get an evaluation to exclude other pathologies

: every ones GI gas production is different. You have to eliminate foods by 'trial and error' after noticing which give you gas and which don=t. Also OTC products are available to help with it. Keeping the mouth closed when chewing also helps
