Not your ears: Highly unlikely to be related to your ears. I would be concerned about a metabolic issue. A low calcium or hyperventilation. While unlikely without a focal deficit (arm or leg paralysis/ loss of vision, etc.) possible neurologic issue - would see a neurologist if persists or go to ER.

One possibility..: Although rare, there is a neurologic condition, benign fasciculation syndrome characterized by twitches, cramping, tingling without weakness (that is a quick summary).  See a neurologist or a physiatrist for evaluation to be sure.  Whether it is this or something else, physical exam can reveal a lot.  It could be a simple electrolyte imbalance. If neurologic, the nerves can be tested easily.

Could be many things: This will require a thorough evaluation and diagnostic work up, esp. paying attention to serum electrolytes such as Calcium, potassium and maybe magnesium - deficiencies and/or excess of these can cause muscle twitching.
Based on history and trend of your symptoms, you may need a neurology consult and also a review of your medications to make sure this isn't a side effect of something you are on.

The most common: Cause is dehydration mineral/vitamin deficiency. That being said, there are other issues, that can present this way early, such as ms, but without any other symptoms, its not likely. Try hydrating well and taking a multivitamin and see if that helps. If not, see your primary doc for full workup.

Yes: The short answer is yes, through electrolyte imbalance- potassium, magnesium, calcium, among others, combined with dehydration. I recommend as starting point seeing your doc for regular blood work, specifically electrolytes,  with replacement as needed as well as stool studies in trying to understand the cause for your protracted diarrhea.
