recently whenever i poop, i have to wipe forever.  an hour later if i wipe again there's more streaking!  what's going on??

Hemorrhoids?: Is it painful?  You might have hemorrhoids.  Difficulties with cleaning become common.

M.D. visit: In a young infant, especially infants younger than six months of age, there can be a number of conditions causing these symptoms. These include infections, congenital abnormalities and allergic reactions to the formula. I would recommend a follow up visit soon with your physician.

Probably IBS: Most likely you have irritable bowel. This is usually caused by not having enough dietary fiber. Other causes of diarrhea are lactose intolerance, infection and ibd. You should see your physician. In the meantime, try metamucil or an equivalent product.

Constipation: Lots of liquids, vegetables, fruits and cereals---if doesn't work see your doctor.

Diarrhea: Chronic diarrhea should be evaluated as to cause especially infection. It's common after bowel resection and gall bladder surgery. Antibiotics can actually lead to bacterial overgrowth & thus diarrhea which is treated w/yet another antibiotic. But only way to figure all this out is to go see your doctor. Also need to monitor hydration & fluid balance so you're not dehydrated.

Really?: White poop can be from barium tests; clay colored (pale)poop can be from bile blockage. Some antacids can cause white poop.  Pale yellowish (foul smelling, oily) poop can be from fat malabsorption or maldigestion (pancreatic disease, celiac sprue).

Fast transit time: can do this ( IBD, celiac, food allergies ). A fast transit time (shorter than 10 hours) means food is passing through your system too quickly. Not enough time the bacterias in the large bowel to breakdown the bile and change the color from green to brown. The ideal bowel transit time is anywhere from 12 to 24 hours.  Also some green color vegetables , iron pills , color in the foods can do this.

Probably : Because you are constipated.  But, there are certain disease condition that can cause slow transit time, so you should go and see a doctor.  If it is just constipation, try high fiber foods or even fiber meds.
