: Although it is difficult to interpret laboratory testing without knowing the clinical situation going on at the time that the blood was drawn, it does seem that you may be mildly anemic. Probably infection: White blood cells (or leukocytes) are cells of the immune system that defend the body against infection and foreign bodies.  The reference range (normally) is between 4.1 - 10.9 x10^3.  Your value is very slightly elevated which usually means you're fighting an infection.  Hope that helps!

Have you asked?: My first question to you is "Have you asked your doctor?"  and, if so, have you asked "Is this a problem"?"  My best advice is to ask your doctor these questions.  If your WBC count has remained stable for 5 years and you don't have any progressive symptoms, there's an excellent chance that the problem hasn't been addressed simply because there isn't a problem.  That certainly is my hope for you!

Stop measuring it: We may need more information. These are (by the way) all well within the range of what is considered 'normal'.  I'd want to know why the test is being run in the first place. Do you have some chronic illness for which your doctor is monitoring your blood counts? If not, I would discourage the routine performance of any blood test in a healthy 20 year old.

Numerous causes: there are several reasons why a 7 week olds WBC (white blood cell) count could be 2.4. Why was the blood drawn in the first place on a 7 week old? Usually the reason why the blood was drawn can provide info on the cause (i.e. infection) along with other symptoms and a full history.

Not Likely: CIDP is certainly a scary, painful, and difficult disease to get through, but it is caused by your body attacking the lining of the nerves with antibodies.  Elevated WBC counts can be from anything like illness to leukemia. If the WBC count id 25,000 persistently the more testing needs to be done, but if it went up to 25K during an illness and then was normal again don't worry.
