Constipation: If you have no urge to have a bowel movement, drink more fluids, eat fiber like fruits and vegetables and take a gentle stimulant like senokotS( which contains a stool softener) daily according to instructions. If you have an urge but can't have a BM, work from below with dulcolax suppository or fleets enema.  If possible, avoid harsh laxatives for either pattern of constipation. See MD as needed.
