Progesterone only: Progesterone only contraception have as the major side effect abnormal bleeding.  This could mean anything from bleeding every day to no bleeding at all. The bleeding pattern is patient dependant and varies widely.

Controlling periods: Congratulations on getting married, i understand that you might not want to have your period on your wedding day. Consider switching to a pill that has estrogen and Progesterone abd take it continuously, skipping the sugarpill/placebo week.  Ask your prescriber for details.

Yes: If you have not missed a pill then your birth control should still be in effect. Birth control is not 100% though so i would take a test. If the test is negative then feel reassured  - sometimes you don't build up enough of a lining to get a period.

Not unusual: Not unusual on stopping a progesterone like Ortho Micronor (norethindrone). If the bleeding continues consult your physician. He or she may consider a short course of an estrogen or discus other options depending on the reason you decided to stop the Ortho Micronor (norethindrone).

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

Probably normal: There is probably nothing to worry about.    The cycles with micronor (norethindrone) can be irregular.  I would probably check a pregnancy test if you don't have some bleeding in the next week.

Supposedly: However, while the generics are supposedly alike are definately tolerated differently by the same patient so there are some differences. I sometimes have to specify a specific generic that is tolerated so the brand of generic is not changed each month or so.

Progestin related : Micronor (norethindrone) is a progestin only birth control pill and therefore common side effects include breast tenderness; changes in menstrual flow, including breakthrough bleeding or spotting; dizziness; headache; nausea. The unpredictable irregular bleeding is the most bothersome to most people.

After neg. preg. Tes: Once you are assured that  you aren't pregnant, you can start the progestin only pill. Don't forget take it the same time everyday.
