why is my baby feeding less often?

Lotsa possibilities: Babies can go through periods of eating more or less depending upon growth needs. Illnesses often cause appetites to change, too. Family, social, emotional, and environmental situations have an impact as well. As babies get older, their feeding patterns often change, typically becoming stretched out a bit, though eating more per feed. Also, what they eat can alter their appetite.

Inverted nipple : Your left breast has inverted nipple ,the baby cannot make good grasp to suck milk ,breast is o.k.Either you can use nipple  shield or pump milk from left breast. You can consult -breast feeding consultant .Continue feeding from  rt breast as much as possible .

Bottle Feeding: I'll presume since you are a man we are talking about bottle feeding!   This depends on baby's age.  If you have a newborn, baby should be having between an ounce and two ounces every several hours, on demand.  The number of ounces gradually increases as the baby grows older and the feedings gradually space out longer.  Ask again with the specifics of baby's age and we can help more.

Changing bottles: Most bottle will start to look worn after going through the dishwasher for a few months but it is more important to change the nipples especially if the rubber is starting to look worn or cracked. Look on the package and it should give you an idea. Cheaper bottles will have to be changed more often.

Very Quickly: Unless you wear sterile gloves, the bottle becomes unsterile very quickly.  Essentialy as soon as you touch the bottle. However, the bottle still stays very clean.  Being very clean is typically more than enough to keep your baby safe and healthy.

Nursing free time: Pump and store up milk, that way other people can be involved with feeding the baby.

Breastfeeding: breastfeeding can cause some irregular vaginal bleeding as the hormonal balance triggering normal menstrual cycles is disrupted. The bleeding can be controlled with a variety of birth control options.

Infant stool: This is of no concern unless it remains green and has foul odor or has blood in it. Infants can have 1-14 stools/day. They are generally loose and yellow ( like gulden's mustard or bird seed).  Green reflects level of bile absorption.

Yes: start with single fruits or vegetables not dinners or combinations
use new product every week only. checking to make sure that the prior food was well tolerated

No hormone issues: IT does not cause any hormone problems. Occasionally the scenting can cause some local irritation, especially in very young infants. The trick at that point is to go unscented. Is a very nice moisturizer.
