See your Dr: Angeliq is a combination hormone pill used primarily to alleviate the symptoms of menopause. Menopause is defined by lack of menstrual bleeding for more than 12 months. If you have resumed bleeding after taking Angeliq, you should contact your prescribing Dr. Rarely taking Angeliq can lead to uterine cancer which may cause irregular bleeding post menopause.

Breakthrough bleedin: You may have this type of bleeding within the first 3 months of going on the pill as a matter of hormonal adjustment. .after that it should happen only if thede is a change in the pill type or some other relevant event. Check with your GYN  dr if uncertain.

Change pills: If you are taking your pills at the same time everyday and still having irregular bleeding and heavy periods, something is wrong. It could be that this is not the right pill for you, you have fibroids or polyps, you have an infection, or you need a different method of contraception but you need to be seen to get this looked in to. Yes, it can be.: Potential se’s w emergency contraception: tender breasts; changes in menstrual flow (spotting, bleeding, early or late period or spotting instead of period); loose stools; dizziness; headache; nausea/ vomiting; abdominal discomfort or feeling tired. If you develop chest tightness, difficulty breathing, swelling of lips, mouth, throat – call 911.  Notify your gyn if your period is 7 or &gt; days late.

Go see ur Family Doc: If you're still bleeding a week after undergoing chemical abortion, you need to go see your prescribing doc, whether Family Doc, GYN or Planned Parenthood, for an evaluation for retained products of conception ie incomplete abortion. You may need a D&amp;C. Go to ER immediately if you feel weak, lightheaded, dizzy, faint, etc, possibly due to excess blood loss.

Oral contraceptives: Resumption of inactive pills should trigger withdrawal bleeding again.  Please call your prescribing physician to discuss your current breakthrough bleeding as your cycle may not regulate immediately.
