Discuss with Doc: Part of being prescribed Clomid (clomiphene) is the education that comes with it. Besides being taught the risk factors & side effects, you should have also been shown how to assess for ovulation, timing of intercourse, & when to take your pills. This is combined with ultrasound evaluation of the endometrium, follicles, & you shouldn't leave the office without a better game plan. See an rei if failed 3 cycles.

Ovulation prediction: In order to pinpoint the fertile window, ovulation time needs to be known. For this you can use over the counter ovulation predictor kits (opk) to test the urine daily starting day 8 of cycle. Once a positive test is obtained, that means ovulation will happen within the next 24 hours. Intercourse is recommended day of positive result as well as next 2 days.

BCP: Depends on the brand of BCP you are taking. While taking BCP your periods might be lighter and shorter compared to before taking the pill

Not much: This sounds like a normal variation and by itself doesn't mean anything is wrong.  The key for periods is what happens over an extended period of time.  One or two strange cycles every now and then means little.

Many reasons: What you are describing may be a period.Have her do a pregnancy test and depending on result,try to consult confidentially with her doctor.Planned Parenthood might also be an option as they can help confidentially.If the pregnancy test is negative,have her discuss with her doctor other possible causes of not having a period(stress is one).Also,please be sure to use condoms every time you have sex!

Day 7: In a 28 day cycle, ovulation is expected at day 14. Whatever you add or subtract to or from your cycle length, you simply do the same to the day 14 fertile time. Yours would be day 7 or one day after your period ended.
