Accepted Answer

Plagiocephaly: You describe positional flattening that has become very common.  Back to sleep has left many children with flattening of back of the head that corrects over 6 to 9 months.  Helmet treatment may help early on, but normal brain growth will correct this over time.

i giv my baby 2 scoops of generic enfamil infant mixed with1 scoop of name brand enfamil ar . generic scoop looks bigger than than the other, this ok?

Scoop size: The scoops may appear to be of different dimension to your eyes. Why don't you look to see if there is a label impressed into the scoop such as 1 tsp or 1 tbsp. Check the side of the cans of formula. It may be the case that they manufactured it such that they want you to use 2 scoops of the generic formula to reconstitute the liquid formula. They will give the instructions on the side of the can.

baby is 2 months-5 min into sleep it looks like he gets a fright and starts crying and his body moves rapidly.this happens continuously.infant spasms?

Development : Infant sleep patterns vary, and this may be normal. I would suggest checking him during the night to ensure that he is comfortable and breathing normally. Please discuss with your pediatrician. 
There are many reasons related to crying such as hunger, wet diapers, illness.

my infant always crosses her legs tightly. it looks like something is bothering her and making her do this as she stops whatever she was doing even playing and do this for a few minutes then releases them. she has always done this since younger. ?

Passive stretches: Consider physical therapy and passive stretches while discussing the possible causes of increased tone. A Pediatric Neurology evaluation may be helpful. Were there any problems during pregnancy, labor or delivery?

paid for a private 3d scan at 14w4d and in one of the pictures my son looks like he has no chin. ultrasound tech said dont worry babies are still developing alot at this stage. can this be a true physical defect or perhaps just the angle? nervous?

Possibilities: There are cases where the angle is just hard to make assessment possible. There are also instances where the lower jaw remains posteriorly positioned leading to some issues in early infancy. Posterior placement of the tongue/jaw can impede full development of the palate in a condition known as the Pierre Robin sequence. Over time the lower jaw does develop &amp; most do quite well.

my almost 3 month old has what looks like a pimple on his forehead, a whitehead. should this concern me or do babies sometimes get little pimples just like everyone else?

Pimple: It might not be acne but may be some mucinous cyst of sorts, does not sound extremely worrisome.  If enlarging, if angry or red looking, if fevers, then seek medical attention immediately

It varies: Just like some of us cry with a paper cut and others don't even cry with a broken bone, babies have varying thresholds for pain.  We know that babies that have lots of procedures done tend to have greater reactions to pain than those that have never had a shot or blood drawn.

Pacifiers: All babies have a natural instinct to suck. This is in order to nurse, and survive. Some babies actually don't like pacifiers.

Comfort: Many babies like to drag their blankets around by the tag on the corner. They will often chew on the tags of clothing. It is usually a symbol of comfort such as using a pacifier. It your baby seems to have other unusual behaviors, please see a pediatrician for a good developmental screening test.
