: The "lead" of pencils is an inert material called graphite. You poop it out in your stool like other indigestible debris. I  know of no studies that looked at the long term ingestion of this material nor would I expect them to be done in the near future. Eat at your own risk.

i been struggling with bowel problems for few months everyday i keep having pencil stools as well  when i eat my stomach bloats make me not to eat?

Multiple causes: Constipation has multiple causes. Small caliber stools could mean a blockage but more commonly in someone older than 28--more like over 40. It looks like you are younger ?? Try to increase fiber in diet and fluids. If problem continues then you will need further evaluation. If there is by chance history of familial polyposis, then need evaluated ASAP.

i usually eat once a day. when you eat less and eat less fiber specifically, is it normal for your poop to be on the thinner/skinny side? not pencil thin whatsoever, but its not huge either?

Nothing specific: If you would like a normal daily BM - then it would be best to eat routine schedule of meals - such as 3 meals per day or 5 to 6 meals of smaller sizes

ive had some red in the toilet recently i do eat a lot of beets and red foods no pain when i poop and not pencil thin im worried its something more. do these stool tests for cancer you buy at drugstores work? would like peace of mind?

For detecting blood: The over-the-counter stool blood tests are similar or the same as ones used in doctor's offices. A person in her 50's needs to be seen by here primary care doctor for a check-up and screening for diseases, including but not just cancers. It is ok for the patient to do an OTC stool test, but she still needs to see her doctor for preventive care every 2-3 years.
