Positive for herpes: A pap smear itself is not an accurate test for herpes. But apparently your doctor took a culture test for herpes simplex virus (HSV), at the same time s/he did the pap smear. Did you have blisters or sores? You have genital herpes, but can't tell which type, HSV1 or HSV2. The lab can do more testing to tell which one. Contact your doctor and make sure they do that; it's important to know the type.

: Herpes are small blisters that break very easily&amp;scab,are painful&amp;come in clusters.The pubic location is also good for it. 
If they are real tiny acne-looking ‘pimples’, it may be folliculitis.Some are pierced by a hair, not in clusters, red around and just tender. 
Anything you pick at, will bleed.
Remember:Herpes is contagious, it can become recurrent, medication will suppress it.
