Only slightly: Oral sex is pretty safe sex. Not completely free of risk, but much lower for all STDs than unprotected vaginal or anal sex, and zero risk for some. HIV, viral hepatitis, chlamydia, HPV, and HSV2 are rarely if ever transmitted oral to genital. Gonorrhea, nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), and herpes due to HSV1 are the main risks, and all these are uncommon.

Very unlikely: Rotavirus virus and vaccine is shed in the stool so risk of getting it is highest when changing diapers, so wash your hands well with soap then. The vaccine is administered at 2, 4, and 6 months and each time there is less virus that is shed in the stool. However the risk of adults and older siblings getting the virus is very unlikely. In the rare case you do get it, it will cause a mild diarrhea.

Both herpes viruses: The "old"teaching was that HPV1 was always above the belt and that HPV2 was always below the belt. With more oral sexual activity that doesn't hold. We have very few successful antiviral a but we do have for the herpes class viruses. There are different doses for treatment and for suppression. Speak to your doc!

Not contagious: Oral thrush is a fungal infection of the oral membranes, and usually occurs in people whose immune status are reduced.  This can occur in people on antibiotics, in diabetics or immunosuppressed due to other illnesses or cancer.  Certain other medications can increase the risk as well.  This is typically not contagious.  Treatments range from 7 - 10 days.

No: Candida sp. The causative organisms in thrush are normal oral flora.  Thrush occurs when the normal balance is disturbed by taking antibiotics and allowing yeast overgrowth or by defects in the normal host immunity such as in aids patient.  The disease is not contageous between people.
