Resistance: Topicals are the way to go in this area however when one agent is not working, switching to another agent is a good idea. 
Topical spray from CVS with tolnaftate a good start in addition to the paragon importance of good foot hygeine and applying your medication right after a shower/bath, changing footwear after sweaty activities.  You should stop oral treatment.

how long is ringworm contagious on terbinafine? i used a topical cream for 2-3 days and ran on and i read that itd only be contagious for 1 or 2 days after using it. i ran out and went to the doctors a week later and was prescribed the terbinafine.

See dermatologist: if this is a fungus, then your meds whether top or oral should be taken for a prolonged time pd. The risk of being contagious should diminish sig when this routine is followed. would see dermatologist to confirm dx and receive appropriate tx.

Maybe: There are many treatment alternatives. Lamisil (terbinafine) topical is as good a start as any other topical.  Other otc preparations have different chemicals and could be tried after after one month of no results.  Moisture is a large factor so I recommend an anti fungal powder in the mornings.  Exfoliating skin is another factor s the intertiginous spaces needs  to be scrubbed.Withoutresults see a podiatrist.

No: Do not take if active hepatitis. Do not take if pregnant. Well tolerated, costs only $10 for 90 days. 1 a day for 6 weeks for fingernails, 12 weeks for toenails. New fingernails in 6 months, toenails in 12 months. Take with food for best absorption. Success varies, but still the best choice for most people.
