Yes: If Miconazole has failed, you can try tioconazole right away. It's not any more effective, however. If Miconazole fails, you should contact your GYN about treatment.

hi i took monistat 1 (tioconazole). i am burning badly.  how do i get it out?

You could make a...: ...douche with saline solution (1/2 tsp of salt for every eight ounces of warm water) and try to irrigate it out.  But, most likely, by the time you did that, the  burning will have subsided and the damage (irritation) already done, so to speak.  You still need treatment.  A doctor could prescribe an oral medication for you that will clear up the infection w/o causing more irritation.

It can be: The cream used to cure the yeast infection is designed to stick around for a while, because you get a much higher dose of medication at once rather than smaller amounts over a longer period of time. It still takes a full 7 days for your body to recover. Some women even have irritation due to the medication that can slow healing, even after the infection is controlled.
